Building a Space Invaders game
One of our first coding projects in Digital Art and Technology was to program a game of Space Invaders using a coding platform called Processing. As this was one of our first coding modules, the idea behind this task was to ease me and my fellow students into the idea of programming and allow anyone who was new to coding to get their heads around it. My version of the game included illustrated graphics which differentiated it from the original version of the game as well as a gesture control feature that allowed users to play the game by holding their hand in front of the web cam. This project was great as it introduced me to a number of new coding concepts and allowed me to demonstrate my skill in an interesting project.
